Day 2: The Danger of False Teaching
The church has always faced the threat of those who twist Scripture for personal gain or notoriety. Paul warns Timothy about proud teachers who create disputes over words rather than leading people to godliness. These individuals crave attention more than truth, seeking platforms rather than surrender. Today's digital age amplifies this danger—anyone with a camera can claim spiritual authority. How do we guard ourselves? By knowing God's Word deeply and personally. When you're rooted in Scripture, you can discern wholesome teaching from toxic distraction.
Ask yourself: Am I pursuing teachers who challenge me toward Christlikeness, or those who simply entertain? Commit to studying God's Word directly, allowing the Holy Spirit to be your primary teacher.
