Day 4: Dwelling in His Presence
Amid holiday hustle, family expectations, financial pressures, and endless to-do lists, when did you last simply sit and enjoy God's presence? Not to accomplish something spiritual or check off a devotional requirement—just to be with Him. The good works prove our relationship with Jesus, but they don't create or sustain it. Only intimate communion does. Moses didn't just receive assignments from God; he lingered in His presence until his face glowed. Mary didn't just serve Jesus; she sat at His feet while Martha bustled anxiously. God's greatest gift isn't what He gives but who He is. His presence is free, yet worth more than anything money can buy. Before the million things waiting outside this moment claim your attention, rest. Sit. Enjoy Him. Let His love refresh and revive you.
Reflection: Schedule 15 minutes today to simply sit quietly in God's presence without agenda or request.
