Day 1: The Call to Flee and Pursue

Dec 1, 2025    Pastor Mike Nasci

Paul's charge to Timothy echoes through the ages: "Flee these things and pursue righteousness." The Christian life isn't passive—it requires intentional movement. We must actively run from the love of money, false teaching, and worldly entanglements while simultaneously chasing after Christ-likeness with intensity. This dual motion defines discipleship. Consider what you're fleeing from today. Are you running with equal vigor toward righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness? The fight of faith isn't defensive survival—it's an aggressive pursuit of victory already purchased by Christ's blood. God hasn't called you to merely exist but to agonizingly contend for the eternal life that is yours. What step of obedience is God calling you to take today?

Reflection: What specific sins or distractions do you need to flee from? What godly characteristics are you actively pursuing?
