Day 2: Stepping Out in Faith

Faith grows through exercise, not observation. When Peter stepped out of the boat, he experienced something the other disciples never did—walking on water with Jesus. Yes, he began to sink when fear overtook faith, but he also experienced Christ's rescuing hand in a way the boat-bound disciples couldn't. God calls us to progressively greater steps of faith. Each time we trust Him and see His faithfulness, our capacity for faith expands. The foundation becomes firmer. The shakiness subsides. But then He calls us to something bigger still, and the trembling returns—until we step out and discover Him faithful again. Your past victories prepare you for present challenges. What "impossible" thing is God asking you to trust Him for today?


Reflection: Recall a time God proved faithful when you stepped out in faith. How can that memory strengthen you for today's challenges?
